We arrived at Chang Mai airport in plenty of time and we checked in and were offered the exit seats which had more leg room .. Great seats We had access to Bangkok Airways lounge there was free coffee, tea and food which we took advantage off. The flight was 1 hour and 45 minutes . We arrived at the airport in Koh Samui and it looked like a cottage all wooden and tiny it was lovely. Our driver was waiting for us and it took approximately 45 mins to arrive at the hotel. We were given cold flannels and a drink upon arrival and given all the information about the resort.
We arrived at our room we were taken by a golf buggy . The room we had booked wasn't the one we got we had asked for the ground floor room and was put in the upstairs one, this wasn't a problem as it's still beautiful but I was just a little disappointed. The manager came to see us and was very apologetic and said he would give us some form of compensation. The room is right on the beach with our own swimming pool and its beautiful. We took a walk to the beach bar and had done drinks I had Mojitos and Mark had beer, lovely overlooking the sea. We met an Australian couple who were on there last night, they gave us some good tips. It was BBQ night so we got ready and went down to the main area for this. We received our own resort mobile phone to contact reception for a golf buggy to collect us or for any other needs we have. The food was good and we ate plenty, we had a few more drinks then came back to the room and lounged in the pool at 10pm at night it was heaven. The staff here are so attentive and can't do enough for you. Apart from the little blip with the room it's a beautiful place and the room is amazing. We slept well in a very comfy large bed.
