That has got to be the most difficult start to a trip I've ever had!!! The 20 other people traveling with me had their flight cancelled from Fargo and had to drive to Minneapolis to catch a flight Saturday morning. I got out of Fargo just fine and ended up changing my flight 3 times before successfully getting out of Chicago. Gotta love not one, but two, broken planes! Lucky for me, I can sleep anywhere, so that 2:30 am start to my day didn't sting quite so bad! I'm on the last leg of my trip and once again fell asleep to wake up thinking we're landing only to hear them announce announce we are landing in Muskat, Oman. Ummmmmm, what?!? Apparently I slept through the part about the storms over Dubai and not enough fuel to circle so we were re-routed for refueling and to wait out the storm. obviously we didn't wait long enough because next thing you know, we're headed back the direction we came to adjust our heading to get around said storm. I finally landed at 2:30 am......4 hours later than planned. But, I'm here and the rest of the trip will be great!! I really don't understand why no one wants to travel with me.......it's always an adventure!!

So, not a whole lot to report since I actually finally got to the hotel on Saturday, but I wanted to update you on everything so far. Even though it was dark when I got here, I could still see some things and the buildings are amazing! The one thing that totally made me feel at home was that at one point there was some ground drifting.....like a good ND blizzard......only it was sand! Way to get that feeling of home!!

Tomorrow, ok today really, I'm on my own until the rest of the group arrives. I'll do some exploring of the hotel after breakfast this morning, but that pool looked pretty inviting!
