Today we had a relaxing morning in Venice in anticipation of the start of our cruise. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at the hotel and it was a beautiful morning for a walk along the Venice waterfront. There was a wonderful park near our hotel where we sat and people watched for a while.....lots of families out enjoying the beautiful day!

We boarded our ship, the Norwegian Jade and spent much of the afternoon walking around the ship finding out where everything was. There will be no shortage of things to do while at sea! Since this was Diana's first cruise, we found the perfect spot for the Sail Away Party. We were able to watch the waterfront of Venice as we left the port, simply amazing!

We met up with the rest of our group for dinner in the main dining room tonight. It was most excellent! I enjoyed some seafood linguine (yum) and the most phenomenal baked scampi EVER! I managed to save room for a delicious piece of strawberry cheesecake as well. With full tummies, we headed off to enjoy the opening show. Tonight featured the NCL singers and dancers as well as a magician.

We finished off our evening with some awesome conversation and a ton of laughs......my tummy muscles still hurt! Tomorrow is a day at sea, so it's my day off to relax and be a vegetable by the pool! I'll be back with you on Monday when we stop in Corfu. Arrevaderci!
