Well we are now back in the sun at last! We have spent practically 2 days on a coach to get here though! We got the Oz experience coach from Cairns to Mission Beach, we only stayed there one night as there really isn't much to do there in the rain, plus by this point we were getting totally fed up of the rain...It was good fun though as they stop at places on the way to show you things, we stopped at Millaa Millaa waterfalls which are gorgeous, took some pics will download when i have some more. We also stopped at a crocodile farm, this was a bit scary, the guys that work there are crazy, they even sit on the Crocodiles?!? im sure they must be related to Steve Urwin! I got to hold a baby one, which was actually quite cute, i then got told it will be killed soon for leather :-( not nice. The hostel in Mission Beach was lovely and had a gorgeous pool, me and a friend went in even though it was raining, was a bit chilly though. The next day we had to leave at 8.30 to get here at Airlie Beach for 4.00pm. Did that happen no! it was a nightmare, all the roads that we needed to be on were shut bcus of floods, all of Cairns is apparently shut of now bcus of it, lucky we got out when we did! so in the end we got to a town called Townsville and stayed there the night then had to get up this morning to leave at 4am, for another 3 hours! so in all we were on the bus for about 12 hours yesterday. It wasn't so bad though as we watched films, and also there is a big crowd of us that are english so we have been having a laugh. Airlie beach seems lovely so far, the sun is shining once again, we have booked up a sailing trip which leaves for tomorrow for two nights, it goes all round the Whitsunday Islands, i cant wait am so excited! ive got an under water camera to take lots of piccies of the great barrier reef. hopefully we wont see any sharks! we have to wear stinger suits as this time of year is really popular for box jelly fish which can apparently kill you in 15 minutes....! Will write again when we are back xxxxx
