Good morning from sunny Munchen! I never really look forward to flying long distance, so glad I'm here now and don't have to fly for a couple of weeks. The photo shows me in the shed at home stressing over packing the bikes - eventually had to get a bigger box for that one. I had to pack the 12kg bike into a 2kg box, along with accessories etc, and end up with a package not exceeding 20kg. I thought it was not likely but was very proud when i put my bike box on the Qantas scales and they read 20.0kg! I think it's amazing that they will fly a huge bike box accross the world for no charge. I landed in Munich last night, waited about 15min and sure enough, a man wheeled out the bike on a trolley and I was free to go.

y next challenge is to reassemble the thing - head outside now and give it a go. Today I'm commencing the ride north east to Passau along the Isar river. Really looking forward to a pedal after sitting in a plane for a day or so!
