We love Munich! We're having a blast here. The hostel is great - by far the best one yet. It's nice to stay somewhere relatively comfortable, warm, and safe! The night we got in we headed to the restaurant serving beer from the local monk's brewery. We had the best waiter and the food was amazing! The beer was the best on trip so far. Just arrived in Munich, Germany after spending a fabulous couple of days in Salzburg. Salzburg is definitely our favorite place so far! We arrived on Sunday and set out to find our hostel. We had to take a tram since it was located on the outskirts of the city, and the directions we had said it was a short walkhill uphill from the tram stop. Well, the "uphill walk" was more like an Olympic training activity....with 30-pound bags on our backs, we bar...

We´ve gotten a much needed rest in Zagreb. The city isn´t great, so we´ve spent most of today and yesterday just hanging out and recharging. Zagreb lacks any charm or character....it´s just a generic city in a not-so-pretty location. We had hoped to visit Dubrovnik, which is supposedly the best place in Croatia, but it is far down the coast and out of our way. Dubrovnik is also more of a summer destination. So, tomorrow we head to Salzbur...

We arrived in Croatia this morning around 7 a.m. Exhausted, we decided to spend the day relaxing at the hostel. We took hot showers, took naps, and did laundry - finally! We are going to head out to find a bar or restaurant tonight, and will explore Zagreb tomorrow!

We took the train from Budapest to Sarajevo on Wednesday....a 12 hour journey. For the most part, train travel is fantastic - quite comfy (especially if you get your own compartment, which we've been lucky enough to get) and during the day rides, the scenery is great. On this ride, however, our compartment window wouldn't open and we were DYING of heat. Sean had sweat rolling down his forehead while he tried to sleep.
