Just using here as a stepping stone to Laos.

Not much happened excpet a long bus ride. I had a bad day... missing a certain someone! But that is to be expected! Had a lovely chat to my dad, no matter what state I get myself into, he always knows exactly what to say, and its a great feeling knowing that despite being 10,000 miles away, I could just be sat in the kitchen opposite him!

 Skinny and Ivan were brilliant as well. We had dinner and sat with some local blokes, in their teepee! Amazingly simple, but such a cool atmosphere. More locals, and some intrigued travellers turned up and joined us in his... lounge! The locals wanted to put on some music... depsite the tv (yes it was in the teepee) playing Bob Marley classics, they wanted live music! So having disappeared off into the darkness, they emerged 10 minutes later with 3 guitars, one violin, a triangle, half of a recorder, and an electronic keyboard that only played the demo, and the black notes! Needless to say, they still didn't want me to sing as that would have just ruined the harmonies!

Off to Laos tomorrow morning for the slow boat down the Mekong River to Luang Prabang. Staying halfway down in a place called Pak Beng tomorrow night! See you there...
