A slight change in the itinery after just grabbing a few hours sleep last night whilst trying to rearrange where to go instead of Prague. The news here said the river there is flooded & some houses under water. Also the Old Town there evacuated, so seeing as our accommodation a couple of streets from the river & the Mayor of Prague has advised reconsidering non-urgent travel there, we are off to what appears the only place in the Northern European hemisph...

The cover photo which is a wine list at a restaurant recommended by the owner of our apartment was quite amusing. We sat down to order dinner, looked at the wine list & the first one on the list was 'The Big John White'!! A lovely white wine which we enjoyed & a great meal to accompany the wine. We left Salzburg with it's river looking like it might burst it's banks yesterday. We had rain most days although some gave a few hours reprieve to dart around ...

Travelled from Nice by plane to Munich yesterday with a tight schedule to then train to Salzburg ready to meet the caretaker at our accomodation at a pre arranged time. Only one suitcase arrived at Munich airport! Yes pays not to brag how lucky we have been on previous holidays!
