Spain and Morocco 2017
Flight to Chiang Mai in a plane as large as the one I arrived from Perth on, and it was full to capacity Long boat trip up the river and feeding the gigantic catfish that is not favoured as an eating dish amongst the locals. We walked about 10 mins to the pier for the boat trip. After that we landed close to the next attraction called Wat Pho (wat meaning temple) and did a tour with our guide (whose name I shall shortly get on paper). Addit: her name is Leang. Stupidly, after that we went to the Grand Palace, along with every other tourist in Bangkok today. Can truly say it was a total waste of 500TB. Did not enjoy any part of it at all. Shoes on/shoes off, hat on/hat off - blah blah blah!!! Lunch was good - street food. Pad Thai was order of the day for most. Delicious it was too. Long taxi ride back to hotel on very busy roads - Bangkok turning out turning out to be the unpleasant place I remember from all those years ago. Plane to Chiang Mai at 1720. Huge plane, as large as the one I came over in, and also almost filled to capacity. Dinner in the night markets - so so I guess, and a red "local" taxi back to hotel @ 20TB each. What a laugh.
