The train rattled into Bangkok about 6am Sunday. We got our **** together and caught a train back to the Bangkok centre hotel. Arrived too early to check into our rooms, in fact we couldn't get into them until 1400hrs. Deb pranced off with a new friend, not saying goodbye to anyone except me (don't know why I got the honour) and the rest of us went to the markets. I had to do all my gift shopping! Boat pickup at 12pm. Sadly it's our last day. On the night train back to Bangkok tonight. The train not as good as the one in Vietnam (that I remember anyway). The berths were either side of a narrow aisle up the middle of the train. Slept despite the weirdness of it all. Debbie maintained her pathetic, no-body loves me persona. Glad to see the back of her that's for sure!!!

So, in keeping, climb we did. Deb spent the time we were watching the actual rock climbers telling us that she did indoor rock climbing as a hobby. Yeah, sure!!!! Then 30 mins later declined to climb because she had a "heat rash" between her legs and could hardly walk, let alone climb!!!! More likely a fat person chafing between her fat legs and inappropriate clothing -ass hugging ugly shorts. So we climbed and she disappeared to do who knows (or cares) what. ...

Long tail boat tour of several of the islands today. Arrived at Tup Island just about on low tide when the sand bar becomes visible, and thousands (well exaggerated) attempt to walk across to Chicken Island. Trick is to dodge the photographers and posers, they are absolutely everywhere. Poor Ann had to hold Debs hand for the crossing -water was ankle deep. Then she was too scared to swim in waist deep water because she couldn't see the bottom -even with a life ja...

Peaceful paddle. Shared boat with guide. Haven't lost my touch - so good to know. Driven to the river some km out in the sticks. This was a very funny sight out the back of the ute!
