Today I woke ready for a day of work - haha well what could be considered work in very laymen terms. Today I was to draw and hopefully start painting an image of Charlie Chaplin in one of the hostel rooms. After a walk around the town I started at about 10am and marked everything up and got dimensions sorted before stopping for lunch. After a long lunch I started sketching the image of Charlie Chaplin - it is here I realized how much I used to love drawing and art: it was my passion all through my school days.i got the base painted and by about 4pm called it a day. Paul and his girlfriend came and had a look and were very happy so I was happy. It was nice having something to do for a change and I really enjoyed the challenge and look forward to tomorrow and finishing it off. In the afternoon I went for a big walk around the city and brought some fresh avocado and red meat from the market as a treat for my efforts today. I say treat but Avocado at 50 cents and red meat at $3 a kilo could be a treat I afford everyday. For dinner I cooked up a huge feed and made my usual guacamole salad and ofcourse ate so much I gave myself a belly ache. The temperature here at night is freezing and I feel my cold coming back.
