Thanks for logging on to another edition of our blog, its been over a week since the last one, but we have been on the go up the coast, we are now at Hue where the weather has turned from glorious sunshine to rain and cold weather.
But lets talk about the sunshine and the amazing time we have had since the last blog. We left Ho Chi Minh and headed to the beach resort of Mui Ne, about 4 hours north of Saigon, this was a beautiful beach resort that was rather windy so was very suited to the kite surfers, however the sand removed a layer of skin. We also rented some bikes and cycled about 6km's to the old town where there were quite possi bly the most fishing bouts I have ever seen, infact I'm surprised there is any fish left in the bloody China Sea. But the Vietnamese have the most amazing boats and I am tempted to steal one and row it back to the river Cam. Anyway we cycled to a little stream that we walked up to some sand dunnes where we had some amazing views of the bay and Mui Ne.
We only stayed afew days before getting a bus another 5 hours to Nha Trang, again a beautiful drive to a stunning beach town that had some amazing beaches and a the longest over sea cable car to an island, however you can only go on it to get to an amusement park. So after walking miles to reach the cable car, we didn't go on it!
But Na Trang was amazing, we managed to fit in some sun bathing and got yet another bus to Ho i An, however this time it was a 12 hour night bus, which we heard was like sleeping on a raging bull. As it turned out it was like sleeping on the back of a raging bull, but only occasionally.
When arriving in Hoi An we managed to get a cheap hotel and headed to get some clothes made, Hoi An is famous for it Tailors and there are crap loads of them. so its hard to know if you found a good one, as it turned out we did. Amy got a beautiful red coat designed by her and made by them, I had two suits tailored to fit, I'm sure when the lady measured me she tried to touch me up, but Amy shot her the evil stares, which was disapointing!!! But after an agreement Amy let her smack my bum on occasion. To be honest it was strange that she wanted to constantly rub me affectionality, however we got some good clothes, all for 100 pounds, which has been purchased with my b-day money (remember 24th Jan, cheques also accepted or cash upon my return)
Hoi An is also stunning, set inland along a river the town is French Colonial and has some amazing food and cheap booze, which has been the pattern Nam. Food is fresh and so so cheap and as for the beer we had 6 large bottles for just 3 pounds, amazing indeed.
We are now at Hue, where we have already taken in the sights of the forbidden city, only half a day here tomorrow before we head on an epic night journey to the capital Han Oi.
We pro mise we will update sooner.
Until next time.
