This is a photo of Monica's pool. Not trying to make you jealous of course! I don't have a photo for today's blog but this will do. Mick and I drove along the coast road stopping at Cottesloe, City and Scarborough beaches. The beach stretches for miles and the sand is superb - soft, white and clean. At last. I have found somewhere with wifi. Today we went to Fremantle or Freo as it is called here. There are lots of beautiful old buildings here. We went on the big wheel very similar to the London Eye but a smaller version. It went much faster and we went round four times! The view over Perth was spectacular.t

We are here and have settled in at Monica's. We are relaxed and stressfree. We are having breakfast in Hungry Jack's as it s the nearest place with wifi. We are off to hire a car soon so we are mobile and then I think the pool may be calling. Mick went to the WACA last night to watch the cricket and Perth Scorchers won by a healthy margin! Not sure when the next blog will be as it will depend on wifi location.

We have just arrived at Hong Kong airport after an 11 hour flight. It is about 7:00 here and we have just had breakfast on the plane. The flight was good and fairly comfortable. I managed to sleep a bit and watched two films but not sure Mick slept much at all. We now have a 5 hour wait for the perth flight but there appears to be quite a few shops here that we will peruse shortly. Wonder if there are any shoe shops?? Next stop Perth!

Well the day has come at last and the cases are packed! Only 3 hours now till driver John arrives to collect us. What a shame we will be leaving the rain!
