The hunt still carrys on to find a camper van, we have been around loads of car garages and private sales. Going to view one tonight, although Jools has his sights on an old school bus, but i'm trying to put him off that one. We have been also just looking at vans that we can just put a matress, camping stove and fridge in so at least thats a possiblity as Jools struggles to lay down in campers that have been converted already
The weather here is about 30 today so its lovely and hot, been to Fremantle today its a lovely town, wandered around the shops for a while, Might nip down to Mc Donalds later and use there wifi to upload my other photos as i can not do it here (Good old mc's)
more updates about campervans soon xxx
We have bought a camper van its a 91 white toyota Hiace, we have got a few jobs we need to do on it but it will do us just fine! Jools has already set to and is building some shelves to put all our dive gear on.
Saturday 2nd May - Fremantle
Went diving to Rotnest island today, met the boat down at the harbour at 8.30 Had 2 great dives although there wasnt much fish life more corals, caves etc but had a great day out on the boat, its amazing out here near the island torquiose water and beautiful white sandy beaches
Went out searching for boats today as we decided it would be cheaper to buy a boat and just take our selves off to all the dive sites. Went to see about 4 yesterday, found one that we really liked, so we took her for a spin out in the sea!! we decided this wasnt big enough as when it gets a little choppy out there we would probably end up taking on water and sinking, more of a fair weather boat!!
Stayed at a differnt beach last night, as the ranger has been pratrolling the beaches the last few nights and keeps banging on our window in the middle of the night telling us we couldnt park where we were!!! it makes you jump i can tell you when he is hammering on the window when your asleep!!!
Overnight we have decided to buy a boat to do all our scubadiving from as it will work out cheaper in the long run, it will give us more freedom to go where we want to and we also dont have to pay the riduiculous prices for a days diving, we have bought a rib(small dinghy) with an 30hp outboard engine & trailer, we called loads of places trying to get the best price for an engine, i was on the phone all day trying to get the best price, we have managed to get it all sorted, the guy that sorted us out with the rib gave us flares and cheap safety equipment and has let us leave the boat & trailer at there warehouse until the engine arrives next week. feel like we are have been around Perth for ages now but in a weeks time we will be moving south downt the west coast. although it will be lots colder down there which i am not looking forward to at all.
We are just waiting for the engine for the boat now and that arrives on friday so i have been driving around picking everything up that we need. We need to think of a name for the boat and her maiden voyage will be on Saturday going to Rotnest Island.
