Just got back from 5 hours of white water rafting and it was brilliant!!!!!!! We were in grade 4 rapids (5 will drown you!) and it was so much fun! There were 6 of us in the raft with an instructor who shouted various commands like 'get down' 'over left' and we were flying about in the raft knocking into each other. The rapids were so cool and one of the guys fell out, it was hilarious. At one point we went backwards in the raft (perfectly safe mum and dad!) all linking arms sat at the front of the raft facing inwards and we all tipped out into the rapids. Then I sat over the edge of the front of the raft hanging on for dear life as we went throught another set of rapids! I was also very brave and jumped off a huge rock into the water. While we were waiting for our photos at the end of the trip our bus left us behind! A lady offered to take us back - everyone is soooo friendly in Australia, I asked a lady at the supermarket if they had any UK-Oz adapters and she was going to get one from her house to give to me!!

Anyway back at the hostel now and so exhausted and bruised. We are back on the Oz bus tomorrow heading for Magnetic Island so will write more from there
