Well I am now in the South Isalnd and having such a brilliant time. Left Wellington on Friday morning and had a very wet ferry ride to Picton - thought it was meant to be their summer! Arrived at Abel Tasmen National Park late afternoon and stayed at Old Macdonalds Farm - seriously! It was pretty nice being in the middle of nowhere and the views were great. Saturday I went sea kayaking which was actually a bit disappointing and not worth the money. Was expecting the views kayaking to be stunning but don't think we went far enough out to the good stuff. Then went back to the main beach at Kaiteriteri which was really pretty and had lunch. Got a boat to the other side and then had a 10k hike which took 3 and a half hours (nothing compared to Tongariro Crossing!) but it was great as there were hardly any hills and the views of the sea/beaches were so great. Arrived back at the farm exhausted and enjoyed some interesting live music at the local bar.

Well today was BRILLIANT!!! I piloted a stunt plane!!! It was bloody amazing I had 15 minutes, was sat in the front seat, the pilot took off and landed and I did ALL the stunts!!! It was just so great I went over and over and hung upside down then did loop the loops!!! The views of Abel Tasman were stunning. Felt a bit sick at the end but it was exceelent. Am now in Barrytown and going bone carving tomorrow which should be fun. There is a cross dressing night tonight so off to get my outfit sorted!!! xx
