On down the coast and we stopped off at Milton to meet Will, who i stayed with at his retreat last time i came this way. We drove through the never-ending Bush to get to his place (which was very naughty as i'd signed a thing at Europcar to say i wouldn't take the lovely sparkly hire car down any dirt roads - oops!) and i knew Mum was going through the same emotions as i did when i first visited - "where the Hell are we?!" and "what could possibly be at the end of this potholed track?!". She was gobsmacked when we saw a wombat pottering past - in daylight! Great.
She loved Will's amazing plot - who wouldn't? - and got a real sense of remote Bush living. We had cups of tea and a catch up with Will and his family but pressed on, wanting to get on as far as poss each day. See you again Will!
On to Kiama, a very cute town with quaint gift shops etc. We stopped for a coffee and visited the blowhole at the cliffs. The coastline and colour of the water is stunning here - it's not called the Sapphire Coast for nothing.
We got to Narooma and stayed at the brilliant YHA there. We got a cooked chicken for dinner and sat enjoying the parrots and cockatoos doing their evening performance outside our room till bedtime Lovely!
