Arrived in Penzance yesterday by train and walked the 2 minutes to the hotel where I met 11 fellow riders, one joins us today and another in 7 days time - he is starting where he fell off last year breaking his collar bone! Seagulls noisy, sleep difficult but day 1 has dawned - here we go.

Day I completed; 75 miles Lands End to Liskeard. After a great first 25 miles the last 50 miles got harder & harder with steep ups and steep downs - save to say I and others did walk up some when we could go no further and the brakes were often on going downhill.
Thanks Hazel ( an old friend living in Cornwall for cheering me on at Carnon Downs.) Arrived at the b&b (The Nebula) on empty - lungs fine but legs were cramping and in much need of a hot bath,food and an early night. LEJOG will definitely be a challenge!
