We left the Hilton at 8.15 am, as promised last nights taxi driver was there ahead of time so we loaded up and headed to Wilson airport going to the old Safarilink building before finding their brand new one right by the terminal. We checked in and they weighed our soft bags and hand luggage which was over the 15kg limit, consequently we paid excess baggage for the two legs we fly in the next 8 days with Safarilink - 4400 Kenyan Shillings @ £30 - well worth it ...

We were up before 4am as we had to catch the 5.15am train from Cambridge to London as our flight to Nairobi was a 1040 departure. When we arrived at Kings Cross we used the lift as we were struggling with 4 bags - 2 for us and two for the schools in Laikipia which we were leaving at the Hilton, in Nairobi for collection by Bush and Beyond the next day. Last day! Most made the 5am wake up and we headed off down the path for about 20minutes to a bird hide they had built right by a parrots clay lick.
