Sadly Monday 16/4/12 arrived and it was time to pack up and head home. A morning by the pool and final packing - but no panic from John as we hadn't added to our luggage with purchases, in fact it was actually lighter as sun cream and other lotions had been used up during the holiday. At 1315 we headed to the airport and as we arrived the Virgin plane landed - unaffected by the delays we had read about which had been caused by an evacuation of a Virgin jet which had returned to Gatwick en route to Orlando with the smell of smoke from the hold resulting in an emergency evacuation and the runway being closed for a couple of hours. The flight did depart late but only because we could not arrive back before 0530 due to maintenance work on the runway. At 0540 on 17/4/12, after 7 hours and 11minutes of flying we touched down at Gatwick, the first plane of the day - so no queues anywhere. We had a superb holiday. Just have to wait for our next adventure now - Zimbabwe in June!
