On Monday morning we saw that the rain was moving in so we decided to leave early. We Before we hooked up we headed down to McDonald's for a quick "healthy" breakfast. By the time we got back to the RV it was raining and that was the least of it. I have decided that I don't really like helping break down the RV in the pouring rain, it's not really a lot of fun! I think maybe I need to invest in a raincoat with a hood. Stopped at Pilot right outside of Athens for gas. Went in and browsed around and found that they have great Christian books! I will have to check out our offerings each time we stop. Stopped at a rest area right outside of Cullman Alabama. That was about the time that the rain was starting to let up and the sky was beginning to clear. It was also getting warmer and about 49 degrees. The rest stop had some really good information on things to do in Gulf Stores. When we got North of Birmingham not only did the sky open up and it started raining buckets but I thought we were driving on a washboard and this was I65 South! Farther down the road, although it was still pouring, we stopped at another Pilot for fuell and Jerry and I were both wet by the time we got back in the truck. I called the next RV park down the line we had planned on staying at for a reservation for 2 nights and it was in Greenville, Alabama. We got in about 3:30pm but the rain was still coming down! Jerry hooked up the electric and water only and kept the truck attached to the RV. About 6pm it finally let up to a managable amoung and he went out and hooked up the sewer while I put everything back in the RV where it should go. Dinner was a quick one in the RV and and down to watch TV. We will be here all day tomorrow and it is to be almost 80 degrees. So.....rest and enjoyment tomorrow. Due to limited internet access I will post pictures and Tuesdays blog tomorrow (Wednesday).
