Hi not sure who can see this but thought I'd update it anyway. We are in Brisbane today quickly stopping off on our way up the east coast. So far we have done Sydney which was amazing. We visited all the beaches: Bondi (where the waves were vicious and the sea was freezing), Coogee(where we stopped at a friensd house and had a bbq and saw sienna miller) and Manly where we had to get the ferry from Sydney harbour and when arrived we just plonked ourselves right on the first bit of beach we saw only to later find out that it was really the right beach (we've since seen postcards of the real manly beach which is a little more impressive than the one we were on. We also visited the blue mopuntains which were incredible it was amazing to go from sitting on a beach one day to being in the rainforest the next.

From Sydney we flew up to Byron bay which I have to say is the best place we have stayed so far I absolutly loved it. The beaches were so beautiful and the sea was so warm. We hired bikes whilst we were there and rode up to the light house which has the brightest light in the world. However we attempted to do this in the midday sun and all nearly dies from heat stroke so had to abandom the plan and ended up at a little beach called Wantego bay just by the light house which was another spectacular beach. The next day we were there we hired boogie boards and took them to main beach where me and gem rode the surf for ages even tho we couldn't quite master the art of getting off the boards it was great fun we both still have the injuries to prove it. The hostel we stayed at in Byron was wicked as well we met some really cool people and had an ace night drinking with everyone on the beach.
