This is a picture of the palace at Muscat. It is a very well kept place with beautiful marble tiles the full length of the entrance. Unfortunately it is not possible to visit as it is used solely as a government building, which seemed such a shame, but fairly typical of what we saw as the policy throughout the Arab states. Our local taxi driver who clearly visited this spot on a daily basis had never had the opportunity to look inside.
