Following a thoroughly crazy night of dancing till the early hours with the best of all bottoms! preceded by a super 6 course meal and a.fantastic show with a wild variety of colourful dancing- ballet, breakdancing, charleston etc. Cathy and I rather over indulged ourselves on the ultra delicious cocktail of the day which did wonders for our dancing style. We did not get a dance with the bottom but we did with his more flamboyant mate'
Today we visited Muscat. After some haggling we got a taxi to the Grand Mosque a splendid building a few miles outside the city. We walked around but could not enter as we had missed the opening hours. We then visited the Souk an amazing shopping experience that attacks all the senses. I bought a pashmina and Cathy bought frankincense and myrrh, which is highly traditional. Sig our taxi driver then gave us quite a tour showing us the old and new palaces, the harbour with the Sultan's mega yacht. We stopped off at the 6 star Palace hotel, got a photo and an opportunity to sample the 6 star facilities. We paid Sig our 80 euros and felt we had had a good deal for a great experience. We liked Muscat and were well impressed with the cleanliness and pretty flowers.
