Day 2 of sailing in the Adriatic Sea with our friends from Yellowknife, Tim and Debbie and their kids Mira and Shannon. It's great to hang out with them again and surreal to do it on a boat in Croatia.
We had an exciting day at sea! Our second day of sailing and we were out in 22 knot winds (40 km/hr). Our 45' boat handled it well as did our Skipper Timmay. Rhian had a smile on her face and I felt like my morning crepes were going to come back up. The kids were troopers and were rewarded for their patience with chocolate once we were out of the rough stuff.
The evening was quite a contrast as we were able to moor in a quiet inlet adjacent to a town of 40 people.
Quite a memorable way to spend Mothers Day.
Cheers Moms! Our wifi on the boat was out yesterday so I wasn't able to communicate (seriously the boat has wifi along with 4 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms). We were thinking of you and will Skype or email you today.
We are now on our way to one of the nicest beaches in the world. No wind so we're motoring while the kids do some homework.
Lovin it!

ERNIE Rhian is wearing a jacket in the picture. What has the temperature been like?
Margot Christie Thanks to both of you for making us feel as it we are part of this trip Please keep it up as I am learning how to blog -- Bonus!! Love - Toots
joyalchristies2014 The weather has been pretty good. Rhian has her jacket on as it does cool down a little in the evenings. Anyone who sees the kids swimming thinks they're nuts
Trinette Konge Go kids! I remember swimming in Brazil's "winter" in July. It was like 25 degrees and no one was on the beach because the water was too cold? And I was also considered "nuts."
