Last night was our first very cold night, its a lot colder in the north, especially when sleeping in a bamboo hut! Today we chilled out, we had a look around Chiang khong, although there isnt much here at all! We walked along the river which was nice, and had a relatively early night!

In the morning we caught a 3hr bus to Chiang rai, we caught a posh bus which cost a little more, although it was very comfortable! In Chiang rai we decided to jump straight on a another 3hr bus to take us to Chiang khong, this time we we got on a very old bus which although was hot and uncomfortable it was a lot more fun as every time it went over a tiny bump we were literally thrown off our seats!
