An extreme afternoons skiing - I had a grand plan following a fairly reasonable amount of vino rose at lunch to head down to montgenevre, catch the gondola up the back followed by the chair and ski the long red runs that way. All went well until about 1/2 way up the chair when it started to feel somewhat cairngormesk! But with more snow. Howling windy blizzard and total white out. We all got off chair wondering where the piste was, and a little bit nervous did not come close to describing how at least 3 of us were feeling. Anyway we got down and I actually enjoyed it after a while to my great surprise. S and I decided we had had enough however so we went for a wander in town and had a sneaky bombardino which was v strong. J&D went for another ski which resulted in a spectacular tumble by all accounts!
Dinner out tonight at gran bouc - very tasty and lovely room which was very unexpected - like someone's front room. S in bed very late fingers crossed for a wake up after 7.30!
