South Island The ferry from Wellington wasn't the most enjoyable experience I've had. Taking 3 and a half hours the boat was hit with gusty winds and rough seas so I spent most of the trip trying not to throw up! I arrived in Alice Springs on the evening of the 12th and stayed here for the 13th as well. Alice is a pretty small place, just a few local shops with touristy places thrown in the mix as well. I arrived in Darwin on the 4th of May after a very long 28 hour bus journey from Broome. Perth to Broome - 20th April - 29th April I took a 10 day tour up the west coast from Perth, finishing in Broome. Travelling by bus we took 10 days to explore the sights of the west coast in a group of 24. The age range was from 18 - 50 with most people around the 24 mark.
