I'm writing this from Ancorage airport. We're waiting for our plane to Seattle which, unfortunately, departs at half past midnight! Over the last couple of days these are the things we have seen and done: We went to Exit Glacier, saw Harding ice field, seen more bears, more moose and caribou, all sorts of deer, some musk ox, loads of fish and loads of bison (Whats the difference between a bison and a buffalo?.... You can't wash your hands in a buffalo!).

Some Alaskan facts from Jack!

If you touch a sea urchin it will hug your finger with its spines!

Alaska has 100,000 glaciers, 1,800 islands , 13 major volcanoes

the highest mountain in Alaska and mainland USA is Denali / mount McKinley and is 6194 metres high.

It is 570,374 sq miles and has a population of approximately 710,000. That means about 1.2 people per sq mile!

Moose antlers are the biggest antlers of all Alaskan animals, and they have long legs so they can stand in water so that wolves won't get them.
