As pointed out to me, I haven't blogged in a while. Monday and Tuesday were pretty much written off as I woke up on Monday horribly ill and unable to move. Tuesday was somewhat better than Monday.
Wednesday I took the bus into town and had an expore of the city. I discovered that ordering a "Chicken Sandwich" means that I get a chicken burger and chips for lunch. Nick and I played soccer with some of Nick's friends and went to the pub afterwards.
Kat got home from her South America trip on Thursday (after a 24hour delay) and we went out for lunch. We went to the Microsoft gym in the evening which is ridiculously large. We talked them into giving me a week's free membership and I "have just moved to Seattle and want to check out the gym". I did a very good job of not laughing hysterically when shown the membership rates - $1250 joining fee and $135 per month. And that doesn't even include classes - they're extra. But the place is nice and has a very good whirlpool/sauna/relaxation area.
Had another explore of the city yesterday and did a small amount of shopping, went to the gym in the evening and out for drinks again.
We're off to Bumbershoot this afternoon. I seem to be following the music festivals around the country - looks like I get to see Beck again today which will make it twice in just over a week.
I'm enjoying the mooching around and doing not much whilst here in Seattle. Although Nicholas keeps complaining that nobody comes to visit him while I stand very obviously in front of him. The gerbils are cute but not much of a substitute for Neptune & Bunni. They tend to do their own thing and ignore the humans. People here are a bit insane about their pets - I went into a shop called Eastside Dog today which was a store full of dog collars, clothes and toys.
Love and hugs to Neptune & Bunni. Love to Sammy.
