After my last blog entry on Thursday night, I woke up on Friday feeling very ill and having an allergic reaction to something which caused my lip to swell up and blister. Attractive. So Friday became a nothing day of lying around watching television and resting up for the early morning on Saturday.
Saturday started at 3:30am so that we could get to the Walkabout by 5am for the start of the AFL grandfinal at 5:30am. The 2 free drinks that came with the ticket turned out to be VB, which was not any better tasting at 6am. The game was enjoyable and post-game activites included continued drinking and singing John Farnham and Cold Chisel songs.
Sunday morning I had a lovely brunch of nutella, berry and icecream pancakes with Tim and Di, who have taken me in for a few days. I have taken over their lounge room and they insist they I eat their food, while I continue to buy my own. Sunday afternoon was spent at the polo (always said in an english accent) with Victoria, Jodi and Rhonda in my new London-bought dress (which I was dying to wear somewhere).
Today I went to visit the Queen briefly and went on a Jack the Ripper walking tour which was great (not at all scary).
Tomorrow is my last full day in London before I leave for Oslo on Wednesday morning. I forsee washing being done.
Love and hugs to Neptune and Bunni. Love to Sammy.
