Canyons, canyons everywhere... They tell you not to do all the South Western National Parks in one go, and we began to see why as the canyon overload kicked in at about here. These are amazing landscapes, huge, picturesque, wild, and also fairly similar. Having said that they were all that bit different - bryce canyon with its intricate wind carved hoodoos, Canyonlands had, well huge canyons to the horizon, Capital Reef has rocks that stick up in the air like teeth as well as some canyons, and arches, well there are lots of arches there so that was an interesting change. Sadly the weather has been mostly cold and wet, much to our dismay (although you wouldn't guess it from this photo!). Heading east we'll leave the Utah uplands, and hopefully some of the brrrrr factor behind us. However as we are heading into the Rocky Mountains this may not be the case!
