Penang has been pretty cool. Met soo many people. There's a fair bit to do here to. There's 3 massive shopping mall's right next to each other and the food is a amzing! I have a regular place now to, they all know me in there which is funny. I also have a regular pub called reggae bar which the people are freidnly enough in there. I met some people there and local guy called Kelvin who agreed to take me, andi and sarah all around Penang for free on his day off! (the people here are soo friendly its unreal!) Soo he first took us to a few little temple then onto the patonic gardens, which has a waterfall. But we wanted to see more soo trekked for half an hour up some steps and found lots of water pools which lead to the top of the waterfall, which was amzing! The water was so clear and cold it was lush! In my pictures theres one called can you see the frog, see if you can spot it :) he blended in really well! So then we went back down and Kelvin took us to some local food place which was so tasty and cheap! We the checked out Kek Lok Si temple which is the best temple i have been to, it was amazing and soo big! Took ages to walk around it all and not very many tourist there either, which is a plus. Then onton Penang hill. Which you catch a train up to the top. It only take a few minutes but its really steap! But the view from the top is amazing, you can see the whole of penang from the top! I also went to see PSY in a free concert for chinese new year only 80,000 people turned up too see him though! was packed! Chinese new year was goood too! Loads of dragon shows and drums. On the eve the i headed to the main place with all the shows and the fireworks just after 12 were amazing soo good, the best i have ever seen by far! But i think its all set out for tourist as not many chinese people are there. During the day of chinese new year everything shuts down, nothing open apart from indian things. Also went to Batu Feringhi, which is the only main beach in penang. It was okay but nothing on the thai beaches and loads of locals tried to sell you para-sailing and other water sports cheap. In all my time in Penang has been good but spent too long here really soo looking farward to Kuala Lumpar (KL) tomarrow. Which is only a 5 hour bus journey and the bus's are nicer here than thailand too :) Cant believe its been 4 weeks ive been out here already! Crazy! Will keep you all updated :)
