Been in Sydney now for a day but I've deliberately avoided seeing all the sights just yet as the weather has been really overcast, and I'm holding out for a nice day to really appreciate what Sydney has to offer. So instead, I've spent a lot of my time in the city centre finding cheap food/drink places and finding somewhere to stay. I have, however spent most of my time in internet cafes trying to sort out my travel and accomodation arrangements for New Zealand. My bus round New Zealand has all been paid for so now I just need to sort out where I'll be staying for how long and what I can do to save money.
I recently visited a theme park (which I haven't done in years!) called Dreamworld, just North of Byron Bay. Originally the ticket would cost me $80, which is around 60 quid, but we found that if we were to attend a meeting about buying time shares in an appartment/hotel company on the Gold Coast, we could get the tickets for half price. So after an eventful morning of the car not starting, being late for the meeting, and having clearly no interest in buying anything the company had to offer, the plan went pretty smoothly and held in our hands 4 half price tickets to Dreamworld.
Not much more to report, just a quick blog post so the fam can be sure that I'm still alive!
Pictures to come soon ;)
