Hi family (and myself, looking at this in 10-15 years),
I finally found some time to write a bit about the first week.
Having to organise a lot of things, I basically spent friday and saturday doing so while I explored Sydney for the first time.
It is amazing, so much bigger and probably so much more interesting than anywhere else I've been before.
What I noticed so far:
-Asian people are everywhere
-Backpackers have beards (trying to follow that trend, no good yet but I train every day...............)
-high costs: meaning I live on expensive water and reduced bread with salami but without sauce, except for pizza-tuesday and free-monday (free food in hostel)
I did the big walk sunday, which includes Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, The Contemporary Museum, The Maritime Museum, China Town and The Rocks Market, which was 8 hours of a great experience. The sunburn coming with it did not dampen my delight.
Next day I went to Bondi Beach with a Bavarian friend I met in the hostle. It is just beautiful.
And that's it for now.....But.........I will be back! Josh

M Clicked on rating thing by mistake and you now have one star from me but not really. Sorry. Forgot to say: the rubbish sandwiches kind of balance out the Bondi Beach experience. Maybe not, but I like to think so....
