I only spent one night at Barrington but it was so cool I thought I'd give it a whole journal entry to itself!!

From Sydney I got on the OzExperience bus with a girl I met in the hostel and we were taken to The Steps in Barrington. There were lots of cool people on the bus so it was a long but fun bus journey.

The Steps is such an aaaawesome place! There's a really nice river with a waterfall that we all went swimming in and its so chilled out, we spent all afternoon lazing around. When it got dark, Wade (the hot kayak instructor) took us night kayaking!! It was pitch black but we were given head torchesso we could see just infront of us. The rapids weren't actually that rapid and I kept getting stuck on the rocks and causing a huge build up of kayaks behind me because not many people had much control over their kayaks!! It was pretty funny!

At one point we all just stopped and switch off our head torches and looked at the stars. The sky was so clear and literally packed full of stars, I was awestruck! When we got back we all sat around the massive fire and played drinking games.

It was such a good night and really nice to be out in the middle of nowhere being at one with nature!

I'm in Byron bay now living it up! I've just bought a tent from a guy so I'll have cheap accomodation from now on! I hope everyone's well and having as much fun as I am!
