Jordi is Off.com
Hello everybody!!!
Guess what?...I'm still in one piece...including my bowels, althought is still early to show off I think.
First stop Bangkok...what a place!!!...The heat can kick your face harder than a Tai Boxing warrior...well, maybe not but is really hot here.
People on the streets stop you and offer help without asking money in return (every time that happens I decided to get a picture with the kind soul but at that rate I will have to change the strategy or my camera will burn itself out...so far I got pictures with Tuk Tuk drivers, some guy called Luang which offer me a whole ride around the city visiting Buddist temples for 0.20 Euros, other travellers and even some dodgy looking man I thought was going to abuse me but only wanted to tell me that today was Buddist Day and everything related to Temple was half price...it was like going to Port Aventura for free on Sant Jordi's day...
A monk who couldn't speak english but somehow made me understand that the Budda I was visiting was The Lucky Budda which only opens the temple once a year...today...and if you ask him for luck apparently it happens so, as today was my lucky day I did ask for luck for my hole family and all my friends from all the places I lived or meet anywhere for the rest of their lives...the monk never told me how big my wish could be so here we are, we are all blessed by the Lucky Budda...not bad eh!!
Hope that will make up a bit for those friends I have neglected e-mails for the last months (sorry Hartlepool...)
As you'll see the pictures attached on the postcard are too good to be mine but its almost 11pm and they are closing in minute and I hope I will download mine next time with the magnificent HP tool Eva ALcazer gave me as living du present (hope I will know how to make it work).
So, good luck everybody and I will try to keep you update as much as possible but without making it too long or boring.
P.S. If you've been to Bangkok before I am sure you keep good memories and if you haven't and ever have the chance to visit that place, do not hesitate, is worth every penny you can save...and do not bring clothes/bags/jewellery/books...etc with you, here everything is cheap and cool as pink pants.(althought only if you don't mind the copyright...)
Tara,
Jordi
