Well, congratulations Australia. I've been travelling for about 6 months now, through some pretty poor countries, but Oz has all but equalled them with some pretty crappy hostels in/around Cairns! I'm now on my second infestation of bed bugs so a bit fed up. Been to pharmacist and got a different remedy this time, so hopefully the incessant itching will cease soon! Hi all Now in Cairns, in Queensland. Main purpose being to dive the Great Barrier Reef! Can't wait. Sod's Law would have it that I've got a bit of a cold and it aint good to dive with a cold so I have to wait for a few days. Still, according to the Lying Planet, there is plenty to do here. Back in New South Wales again, staying with Thomps and Richard. We went up to the Blue Mountains on Sunday and saw.....nothing!!! Fog was so thick....so we gave the day up to the gods and had a great lunch instead. Thanks Richard for driving for 4 hours, so we could see...fog! Off to Cairns tomorrow to see Great Barrier Reef.
