Now in Pucon, a nice little town in the Lake District. Had an 11 hour bus journey down from Santiago! The bus left Santiago at 11pm from the maddest bus station Ive ever seen. Hundreds of people! Was with a couple of young Israeli girls and if it wasnt for my intelligence and fluent Spanish we would still be in Santiago!!! Climbed a volcano today (as u do). It was great, although nearly choked to death on sulphurous fumes at the top. The best bit was the ride down on our bums on the snow! I wondered what the ice picks and PVC pants were for - the ice pick stopped me from crashing into rocks at the bottom! Was dead chuffed when I saw my first condors soaring up above too. After that we had a nice stroll down some skri by the end of which we were all filthy. And then I couldnt believe my ears when some American guys were discussing whether to have a shower or not, or just change their clothes. Some guys are DISGUSTING!!
