Hello again all. We are now in a city called Mysore, which is probably the cleanest place we have been so far, also hardly any stray dogs - woo hoo! There is a huge palace here which is one of the most opulent things we have ever seen. We left Goa on Tuesday morning for a 6 hour train ride to Hospet and then onto Hampi, however due to heavy rain we were held up for 8 hours while waiting for a derailed train to be cleared from the track. Hello all, we wrote a long detailed entry from Mumbai, which seems to have been lost, grrr. 08/09/2007 We arrived in Goa 3 days ago, after an extremely uncomfortable trip on a sleeper bus (we shared a top bunk measuring about the same as a single bed). Well, better get started I guess. This is the first entry and although not on the road yet, I can begin this blog with our leaving event, camping in the Forest of Dean. Rained all weekend but we made the most of it! Thanks to everyone who turned up, I know the weather was not ideal. Thanks also to Neil for the provision of the Gazebo, without which we would have been really screwed.
