LA BABY

 We were going to stay in Hollywood but we were told some bad stories about the hostels there and really recommended some hostels in Santa Monica. We went passed Hollywood on the bus and it looked like a right dump and we were well happy when we got to the hostel in Santa Monica we were well happy. It was in a really nice area about 1 minute away from all the good shops and places to eat and about 30 seconds from the Santa Monica Pier.

The first night we had to stay in seperate sex rooms it was the worst sleep i've ever had at about 5am i was woken up by the bloke on the bunk above me snoring so loud i was kicking the bunk and moving around trying to wake shut him up, i couldnt get to sleep again i was thinking about putting a pillow on his face and shutting him up for good but i didnt i got out of bed and went to the tv room  where i watched trains planes and automobiles i needed a laugh. 

kris was up at 8am then we moved our stuff into a private room where we could both relax and have a good sleep, i know we are on a budget but private rooms are so much better and only a couple of quid more.

the first day we wnt down to the pier and along to venice beach we saw some street performers and muscle beach where loads of people were working out.

the second day we went to Hollywood Boulevard where we saw all the stars names and hand prints outside the Chinese Theatre. We couldnt believe how scummy Hollywood is its really dirty. 

When we were outside the Chinese Theatre we were offered free tickets to be in the audience of the Late Late Show its really big over in the US. So went to it and it was really funny and they want you to make loads of noise and go crazy when guests come on so i was standing shouting WOO YEAH!! with the rest of the yanks. the guests were a few unknowns a cartoonest, a nascar driver, a nfl player and William Shatner! (Captain Kirk) he was class a proper Legend!

The Next day we went to Universal Studios. we went on the shuttle set tour  which took us to the Pyhco set and the desperate houswives street, also when we going past where they filmed Jaws a massive shark came out of the water at us. The tour was really good and they put loads of effort into making it really enjoyable. After the tour we wnt on all the rides theres some really good one and theres a few rides where your watching a 3d screen and your seats move, The shrek one was really funny.

 on the last day we went and watched Borat it was really funny and its really famous over there but the yanks just dont get him. 2 lads i met over there said when they watched it loads of people stormed out after 5 minutes. HIGH FIVE!

so thats the end of the US OF A leg of the trip its been really good i cant believe how much stuff we have seen and done

now off to the Cook Islands
