We left Adelaide at 6.30. And I took alot of pleasure from making as much noise as possible so as to really annoy those angry germans! Hahaha!

We were booked in on a Groovy Grape tour which was going to take us from Adelaide to Alice Springs with a couple of stops along the way! The day was fairly standard with an 11 hour drive and a couple of stops. We really were driving into the middle of nowhere!

We spent the night in Coober Pedy which is the Opal Mining capital of the world! Its such a hick town its unbelievable! We had some pizza at the local restaurant and then went to the local pub! It is so hot here that people live underground, even the bar was underground! Our accomdation for the night was a bunkhouse carved into the side of the mountain. It was quite refreshing living underground and it was alot cooler! Unfortunalley it did stink quite a bit though, that damp kinda smell!

The next day it was up at the crack of dawn and we were back on the road. Another 11 hour drive and a swim at a service station we arrived in Alice Springs!
