After a 10 hour flight from Fiji to LA next to a huge Fijian women we arrive into LAX and say our goodbyes to Alex. I've been travelling with him for about a month and a half and its been a good laugh!

We have a hostel booked on Hermosa Beach which is supposed to be pretty nice, so I've been told! We check in and it turns out we are directly about a night club! No biggy we though we can party and we can get home pretty easily. After all it is St Patricks 'weekend'. So we head out for a pint of Guiness. Due to the time difference and the horrendous conditions that I had to travel back with I was almost falling asleep by 5 in the evening so we made a pact to go out on St Patricks Day.

I finally got to sleep but was woken up at 9 when the bass started blurting through the floor boards. This kept us awake until about 1.30 when the club closed. By then I had a thumping headache and i was in all sorts, fever, aching you name it! Waking up around 12 the next day I was determined not to waste time so we decided to hit the mall. Probably wasn't a good idea as I got back to the room in the evening and continued to sweat and ache! Luckily we both were getting fed up with the lack of sleep so we decided to change hostels and move into Hollywood!
