Happy New Year to you both. Hope you had a good Xmas and that the turkey was cooked!!! We had a good time at Vikki and Tims and pleased to tell you that your Dad came last at a game of cards!!!! He couldn't believe it and blamed it on his cold!!!!!!!!!! Pity about Andrew leaving Rio, so no free accomodation, so you'll have to go to Dallas!!!!
Take care and enjoy.

Mum & Dad's Travelling Companions
We have been following your exploits not only with interest but awe, how do you manage to cram in so much? We are worn out merely reading about all the places and interesting events that you are feeding back to us and the pictures and video's are first class. Glad to see you are both enjoying yourselves, that's what you are there for, make the best of it (particularly at this time when UK shivers with the weather and financial depression). I have read your Dad's piece following our intrepid travels. I don't want you to think that it was all danger and excitement, sometimes it was much more relaxed and mundane although I notice that he didn't mention that he was "nearly" attacked by a turtle on a beach in Curacao, a close shave. Will be calling in to see them tomorrow to wish them merry christmas and we would like to wish both you and Kirsty a very merry christmas and a bonzo new year (will we see you celebrating 2010 at the bridge in Sydney, hope so). All the best "uncle" Howard and "auntie" Linda xxx
Mum And Dad
Hey fellow travellers, have just returned from our exhausting trek to Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama and various Caribean Islands. It was particularly difficult getting from our cabin to the dining room (via the bar) each night. Mum and Aunty Linda had great difficulty as well in passsing the bargains on view each night in the Atrium. The Panama Canal was incredible but hard work trying to get a good vantage point and walking from the front to the back of the ship to get the best views. The meals were even cheaper than yours, in fact they were free and it became increasing difficult to fit into our clothes for some reason!!. The cliff divers at Acapulco were tremendous, mum even had a photo taken with them but it was another draining session watching them from the bar as they dived 100 ft into the water below. It was a tortuous journey there from town in an old VW Beetle taxi that I flagged down, about 40 years old, no air conditioning, yet another hardship. After all that we had to put up with the constant sun and warm weather of the Caribean. In fact it got so hot we had to swim in the sea which was a little bit warm at times. Snorkelling was yet another hardship but the fish were tremendous. What a hard life we travellers have. Just posting this before mum put a prohibition notice on it. Love mum and dad.
