Day 14 (Monday 30th October 2006)

It's all gone wrong!!!! I'm afraid we never made it to Ko Phi Phi today! We awoke bright and early as we were told, only to be greeted by nobody at reception!! Marc awoke some Thai bloke from his hammock, but by the time he'd found our tickets, we were too late for the ferry...despite the best efforts of our crazy taxi driver! To make matters worse, Marc hears Spartans have lost their first ever game...tears!!

The plan was to leave Ko Pha-ngan at 7:00am, catch a bus from Surat Thani to Krabi, before completing the journey by ferry to Ko Phi Phi. However, once we had missed the early ferry from Ko Pha-ngan, it made it impossible for us to make it to Krabi in time for the last ferry to Phi Phi. Marc took it pretty well!!!!

Instead of going back to the Cabana resort to kick their faces in, we decided to cut our losses and just get a cheap place in Krabi for the night. We caught the next ferry at 10:00 and found a brand spanking new hotel in Krabi town when we arrived for just 300baht...that's just over four quid!! We didn't arrive in Krabi until gone 18:00, so there goes a day wasted, but the guys at our hotel are taking us straight to the ferry for the first crossing in the morning.

Krabi does have some spectacular scenery, but right now all we can see is a mini Bangkok...but not as smelly!

We think there is some kind of celebration going on today. All the locals seem to be wearing t-shirts with some emblem on it, we think something that represents Siam?? Anyway, Sarah thought she'd look the part so she bought one!!

We stretched our legs after the long journey with a little stroll into town and in to the night market. Sarah bought her t-shirt and we had a KFC...a whole meal costs about 1.50! We better make our way back and check all our stuff is still in the hotel!!!!!

Spartans, Spartans, Spartans! Oh well boys, it had to happen one day. At least it was in probably the least important competition. Put it behind you and focus on that league title...Jonesy sees Fareham Rangers have overtaken us at the top temporarally. Win that league for me boys so I can come back and lead us to the championship!!!!!! As for "The Beast", he's going for top scorer isn't he!!

Thanks for the update 4P, I see that 'Heskey of the week's have been dished out both weeks...make sure all stats are up to date for me guys! How's Dazza getting on with the computer stuff???
