Shipping Progress Our vehicle has started the journey and is on its way! Four weeks to go and we'll be in Durban. Not long now!

Sydney to Durban. Our vehicle is on its way!! Safe and snug in a shipping container, with not much room to spare. Not long to go now. We meet again in 5 weeks time.

Preparation Our vehicle is nearly ready with all we need for Africa (we hope) - plenty of spare parts, but not too many, and modifications to suspension etc. anticipating rough and difficult roads. We've outfitted the camper for a comfortable 'home' for the next 12 months. Shipping, carnet de passage, visas are all works in progress. We've mapped our route using 'Tracks 4 Africa' and our Garmin GPS, and located possible sites for camping and overnight stays. ...
