We arrived at Euston to catch the Caledonian Express Sleeper to Inverness. We were booked into coach D which was at the very far end of the train and it was a VERY LONG train. When we finally reached coach D they told us we were not on their list... turns out due to dodgy printing we were actually in coach P at the other end of the train! When we finally got on board we found they had not designed the trains for people with large rucksacks on their backs. We only just fitted in the corridor and I could not fit through the door to the cabin without taking mine off and getting a helping hand from Caitlin.
We had a slightly disturbed nights sleep as at 4:30 we stopped at a station and the train was split in two, lets just say the chap with the shunting engine would not have made it as a Neuro Surgeon as it felt like a small earthquake as he moved the coaches around!
We arrived at Inverness at 7:30, opened the window blinds to be greeted by 4 inches of snow, we had been warned, it was beautiful as we had travelled through the Cairngorms into Inverness. After a quick breakfast of square sausage and egg bap at the station cafe we dropped our bags at the hotel and headed to Loch Ness on the local bus.

Louise Now you have passed the square sausage challenge surely it must be time for haggis, neeps and tatties washed down with a wee dram!
Richard Just your luck....off you go traveling and the pub in whittlebury opened last night free beer all night (well the landlord bought me one)
