So today is the day i decided to extend my stay from a week to 3, i have cancelled the shamwari project in south africa and once again Jenny at STA has saved me life on this one! This week so far has definatly exceeded my expectations and so i am really excited to see what the next 2 weeks has to offer plus the project staff have asked me if i would like to stay longer and apparently they dont do that very often!

So today started much the same as the previous days apart from it being a lot hotter today! We tend to judge how warm it is by how hard the bike ride is to the school and today it was almost impossible! Especially as i missed the turning for the school as cycled about half a k longer then necessary!

Today Dulla one of the project managers took us for a kiswali lesson (Swahili) and to say i didnt understand any of it is an understatement oh well we have lesson 2 next week!

So this evening is volunteer cooking night where a couple of the volunteers cook s 3 course meal for all of the volunteers and project staff. I am lucky enough or they are unlucky depending on how you look at it so have me on the cooking team! Ironically i think as they realised i cant really cook they put me on salad and chopping duty which apparently i made a really good salad... how ironic!!

All still good in Zanzibar, tomorrow we are doing a community project in the morning and then have the afternoon and the weekend off and so we are going to a beach party tomorrow night!! We are going out on saturday evening for a meal so will probably not be able to blog until sunday.
