We had a couple of days in San pedro, chile, on the way to Argentina. It's a really small but lovely little town set in a desert mountainous landscape that looks like some sort or lunar landscape. Quaint shops nice restaurants and sandy roads. It was really expensive, we paid $US90 for our room! ($US35 is the most we'd paid on the whole trip to this point) because jolly did the exchange wrong, I thought this wasn't meant to happen when you travelled with an accountant!
Most people come here to see the geysers, thermal lakes, lagoons and ride horses. After our long and tiring 3 days on the salt flats, we came here to relax and eat good food.
We travelled to San Pedro with a couple we met on the salt flats tour, Julius and Solyka. They were traveling a similar route to us, so Jolly just invited us to tag along with them for the next few days. They are a lovely couple and didn't seem to mind.
