So, im a little nervous as there is a lizard a metre above my head staring at me. I named it 'Geoff'. Anywho.. Thanks for your comments, makes me feel less homesick! We left Bangkok today and took all our luggage in 48 celcius heat across the city. Fun. Espeacially when your hungover (After calling Mark late last night, I met a guy from Vancouve in the lift, Kevin and we got to the second floor and decided to go for a drink, or 2, or 3) Took a longtail boat down to this temple, was really special, its a very religious country and really hard for us as we have to wear long trousers and tops that cover AT LEAST our shoulders. Monks were all over the place, (felt like id taken a creepy drive into Miland for a while) here, women are not allowed to touch the monks. We then took an airconditioned (thank god) bus for 2 hours to Sawasdee, I jumped off the bus with a Thai man carrying my bags to a Cycle Rickshaw, basically a chair with wheels and a bike attached, so funny... no breaks and bare feet.. hmm.
The Thais are amazed by Western people, our tour told us they want to be white and are so interested in what we do and earn and like. So we were being watched the whole way through the remote villages. Saw an elephant today!! In the distance but it was a baby having a wash in the river.. as you do. now ya dont get that in Radford! Oh, if I havnt mentioned, my groups really cool, all girls bar one and we get on very well so far. Oh yea, had a Thai massage today.. WOW! No offence Pol but your going to have to get practising to impress me now! Lots of love, lizards too scary.. (look at the photos - trying to upload them on here, they are on snapfish) - A small announcment, Sally was nearly crushed today by a falling tree, she is fine. But sad to not have mum there with her. Feel free to drop by with cards and grapes.x
